These terms govern your use of the campaign operations platform operated by the Daniel Wong for Fort Bend County Judge Campaign (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Campaign”). By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What the Platform Is
The Daniel Wong for Fort Bend County Judge Campaign operates a campaign platform designed to support campaign activities, including voter-data management, SMS and email outreach, volunteer coordination, block-walking assignments, and other campaign operations.
The Campaign’s iOS and Android apps are companion applications to the same platform. These terms apply to your use of the platform through the website, mobile applications, and other authorized interfaces.
Mobile App License
We grant authorized users a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Campaign’s mobile application on devices they own or control solely for authorized campaign activities.
You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, sublicense, copy, modify, or attempt to derive the source code of the application except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
The application is provided “as is.” Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not parties to these terms and have no obligations with respect to the application except as otherwise required by their respective platform terms or applicable law.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to agree to these terms.
Access to internal campaign functionality is limited to individuals authorized by the Daniel Wong for Fort Bend County Judge Campaign, including campaign staff, volunteers, contractors, and other approved participants.
Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity performed through your account.
You may not share your account with another individual or allow an unauthorized person to access campaign information through your credentials.
If you have permission to invite or manage other users, you are responsible for ensuring those individuals have a legitimate campaign-related need for the access provided to them.
We reserve the right to restrict or suspend accounts that show signs of compromise, unauthorized access, misuse, or activity inconsistent with these terms.
Campaign Data
Information contained within the platform, including voter files, volunteer records, campaign content, outreach history, survey responses, notes, and related campaign information, is maintained for authorized campaign purposes.
Users may access and use this information only as necessary to perform authorized activities on behalf of the Daniel Wong for Fort Bend County Judge Campaign.
Access to campaign information does not grant users ownership of that information or permission to copy, export, disclose, sell, distribute, or use it for purposes unrelated to authorized campaign activities.
Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- Use the platform to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, including applicable telecommunications, email, privacy, and election laws.
- Send SMS, email, or other outreach in violation of applicable consent, identification, disclosure, or opt-out requirements.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent suppression lists, unsubscribe mechanisms, communication preferences, or other compliance controls.
- Upload, import, access, or use voter information or other data that the Campaign is not authorized or licensed to use.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to campaign information, other user accounts, administrative functionality, databases, infrastructure, or security controls.
- Reverse-engineer, interfere with, disrupt, probe, or test the platform or its security systems without authorization.
- Copy, export, disclose, or use campaign voter data for personal, commercial, or other unauthorized purposes.
- Use the platform for commercial solicitation or activities unrelated to the Daniel Wong for Fort Bend County Judge Campaign.
Compliance With Political Messaging Laws
Campaign communications may be subject to federal and state laws, carrier requirements, registration requirements, and industry standards governing political SMS, email, and other electronic communications.
Where applicable, political SMS communications may require registration through A2P 10DLC or other carrier compliance programs.
The platform includes tools designed to support campaign compliance, including consent records, suppression lists, and opt-out functionality. Authorized users are responsible for using these tools appropriately and complying with Campaign policies when conducting outreach.
Users should not disable, bypass, or otherwise interfere with compliance controls.
Nothing provided through the platform constitutes legal advice. Questions regarding legal or regulatory requirements should be directed to appropriate campaign leadership or legal counsel.
Payments and Contributions
Where the platform provides functionality for campaign contributions, payments may be processed through Stripe Connect or another authorized payment processor.
Campaign contributions are subject to applicable federal, state, and local campaign-finance laws, contribution limits, eligibility requirements, reporting obligations, and other applicable restrictions.
Payment processors may maintain separate terms of service and privacy policies governing payment information and transactions.
Suspension and Termination
The Campaign may suspend or terminate a user’s access at any time, including when the user’s role with the Campaign ends or when the Campaign determines that continued access is no longer necessary.
Access may be terminated immediately in cases involving suspected unauthorized access, misuse of campaign data, fraudulent activity, violations of these terms, security concerns, or activity that may expose the Campaign or its systems to legal or operational risk.
Upon termination, you must stop accessing and using the platform and any campaign information obtained through it.
Warranty Disclaimer and Liability
The platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Campaign makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the platform’s availability, reliability, accuracy, security, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Daniel Wong for Fort Bend County Judge Campaign and its officers, staff, volunteers, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the platform.
Any additional limitations of liability will be interpreted and applied in accordance with applicable law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Any jurisdiction, venue, or dispute-resolution provisions may be supplemented or modified as necessary following legal review.
Changes
We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes to campaign operations, technology, legal requirements, or platform functionality.
When material changes are made, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice to active platform users through email, the platform, or another appropriate communication method.
Continued use of the platform after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those terms.
